just found an old sketchbook....
funny...I'd completely forgotten about this one. it's the sketchbook before the one that I'm just about to finish, i must have got through this sketchbook really fast. i think it's better than the one I'm finishing up at the moment. I'm not posting many of the sketches, just the ones that i like. I'm looking at them know, and I'm thinking if this is the best pick of an entire sketch book...I've got a lot of work to do!
comments most welcome, critiques please! don't feel shy :)

THE RING
Yeah so the model had this plastic ring that she was holding (whoop-de-do). Also in this session we were instructed to try out single line drawings with both are right and left hands. There is also some 1 and 2 minute warm ups as well. urrr...feedback is welcome...sorry for not posting last week...etcetera, etcetera

Don’t know why but I’m going to leave you with a rather inspiring quote by truly great thinker, a man of true wisdom, a great philosopher, a real intellect.
"There are three rules that I live by: never get less than 12 hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady who's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick with that, everything else is cream cheese."

life drawing again.
This was the life drawing that i did 2 weeks ago. In the session we were advised to try and do a drawing with your left hand. Or if you were left handed do one with your right. The idea being, that the drawing won’t have your normal level of control to it. The results I found were interesting. i found that without the normal control level, my drawing seem loose and i think had more energy to it.

i thought great! Try to not use so much control with your right hand, and use the control for the details and I’ve found i new way of drawing. Wrong! as soon as i got that power back with my other hand, I completely forgot about that idea.
In fact the drawing I did after looks especially stiff and over worked i think.
It would be great to get some feedback on this session, so i can apply it to my life drawing this week.
Thanks
